The “R” Multi-Use Complex

The “R” features expansive indoor sports facilities, including an indoor track, batting cages, esports, a tennis court, and two golf simulators. Students can also learn and create in STEM-focused multi-purpose rooms and makerspaces. The goal was to create a unique environment that all grade levels and activity interests could use, with student-centered design at the forefront. In addition to serving students, many of the health and wellness amenities can also be enjoyed by parents, staff, and community members after school hours.

Enrollment is dwindling as students are moving to charter schools or private schools with classical education and hands-on experiences. How can Dodgertown entice families to stay in their community? Dodgertown teamed up with MooreCo to rethink the mission of the underutilized library and consider new ways students can access and use materials. Dodgertown leaned into its designation as a STEAM Tech Lab Community Partner with a special focus on science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics (STEAM) curriculum and programming.
