Meteor Education Georgetown Future Ready Complex

Faced with rapid population growth, Georgetown ISD set out to upgrade its approach to career and technical education (CTE). Existing programs were spread across three high schools and relied on outdated, makeshift equipment that limited both student access and real-world readiness.

The district responded with the creation of the Future Ready Complex, a 241,000-square-foot facility designed to centralize all CTE programs and equip them with modern, industry-grade tools and furnishings. To bring this vision to life, GISD partnered with Meteor Education and Advanced Technologies Consultants, who guided the planning, procurement, and installation of furniture and equipment.

The result is an innovative space where learning feels professional and purposeful. With a wide offering of CTE pathways available — such as automotive, cosmetology, and health sciences, among others — students now train in environments that mirror real workplaces and benefit from flexible, high-quality furniture that supports movement and collaboration. As a bonus, by consolidating programs into a single facility, GISD also saved money as opposed to outfitting multiple campuses.

Teachers report improved student behavior, stronger soft skills, and a greater sense of ownership. The building has also become a point of pride for the broader community, with frequent tours and growing interest from local businesses. The Future Ready Complex now serves as a model of how thoughtful design, strategic partnerships, and high expectations can prepare students for success.
